About The Flute Shoppe

The Flute Shoppe was created in 2008 by Sarah Kelly to help flutists, teachers and parents find reasonably priced, high quality pre-owned flutes.

Sarah is a professionally trained flutist having studied with Ernestine Whitman at Lawrence University and Timothy Day at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.  In addition, Sarah has intimate knowledge of the flute-making industry having worked at Powell Flutes and the Wm. S. Haynes Co. (where she is currently the Vice President of Sales and Marketing).  Sarah received padding and repair training from Jeff Weissman of the world-renowned Weissman Music Co.

Each flute is thoroughly tested and adjusted when Sarah receives it.  With Sarah's vast experience and knowledge of the flute, she is able to help her customers find the best flute to meet their needs.
